    Started in the early 2000's by owner and driver Rick Johnson and his wife Brenda, Agave Motorsports continues today in full stride campaigning a TrophyLite race truck. Rick, being appealed by the idea of spec class racing, coming from a Pro-Truck, immediately was drawn to the idea of a cost effective smaller scale series like TrophyLite. With the huge paybacks, and it's own points series, team Agave found its niche and made their mark on the new concept series in its inaugural year with 2 race wins and an overall points championship for 2008. Winning wouldn't be few and far between for the next year either. Taking home yet another 3 race wins and the points championship again, team Agave showed that desert was not its only specialty. Winning the first TrophyLite Short-Course race hosted by TORC, the Agave crew had the truck dialed in for the win before they showed up. Bringing home the championships the in the new TrophyLite race truck, was son Louis Chamberland and co-driver Craig Malloy. Both non-strangers to the barren deserts of the U.S. and Mexico. Team Agave has enjoyed victories from the Baja 1000, Parker 425, Glen Helen California, Henderson Nevada, Las Vegas Nevada, and the Nevada 1000.
